The reason I haven’t posted in a while is that I just came back from Morocco!
I decided to go by my own, for 2 weeks. Before posting on more specific locations and things I did, I wanted to give you my 10 days in Morocco itinerary.
First of all, my flight was from Barcelona to Marrakech, and my return flight was from Fes to Barcelona.
I arrived in Marrakech at 9 am, and left Fes at 9 pm so I could spend those days visiting the cities.
Specific guides of all the cities mentioned below are going to be released soon, so keep upgraded!
Day 1-3 :
Marrakech. I had enough time to visit everything Marrakech had to offer me without being in a total rush. It is true, we walked a lot and visited a lot of places in these days, but I had enough time to relax, chill by the pool, swim,…
Essaouira. I did a day trip with a local travel agency, please wait until you are in Morocco to book the tours, you will save half of the price. We visited goats in the trees, an Argan oil cooperative, and finally the town of Essaouira. The tour was from and back to Marrakech, so you can still visit something at night like Jamma el Fnaa square.
Tour (Aït Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, Dades Gorges) – I booked a 3 days/2 nights shared minibus tour, it was a good experience, but they do not let you a lot of time to visit all you want, and there is a long ride until the desert.
(Todra Gorges, Merzouga, Sahara Desert)
Sahara Desert, Draa Valley, Fes. – The tour I booked had to return to Marrakech, so I shared a taxi with other 3 people I met there, and it costed 30€/300 dhs. I arrived at 5pm to Fes.
Fes. I did a guided tour through Fes in the morning. In the afternoon I took a bus to Chefchaouen
Chefchaouen – The blue pearl. I woke up and walked through the streets. In the noon, I took a bus. I wish I could have stayed longer, but there were not seats available in there rest of buses.
Fes. Did some tourism and went to the airport.
